Fun Run Event Day Details
Timings
- Runner's numbers for both the 5k and 100m race will be published on the website from 8pm on Thursday 10th July 2026
- Weather forecast for 9am on Saturday is 22 degrees, dry, sunny intervals and gentle breeze. Wear sunscreen and bring a filled watrer bottle. If you feel unwell on the day of the event or you have an underlying health condition that may be made worse by running in the heat, then please do not run.
- Race numbers & safety pins can be collected from the front of the pavilion in the park from 08:15am. Please note your running number before you arrive to speed up collection.
- At 08:40am we will move to the start line where a course briefing will be given.
- We will start the 5k run at 08:45am (5 laps) see 'The 5km Course' page for the route. Please be considerate towards other park users.
- Cross the start/finish line at the end of each lap 4 times. You are responsible for keeping count of the number of laps you complete. You may wish to wear five elastic bands or hair bands on one wrist and move one over to the other wrist each time you complete a lap to help you keep score.
- At the end of 5th and final lap, head through the finishing tunnel which will be clearly marked with red cones/tape.
- Five minutes after the last runner has crossed the finishing line for the 5km run, we will start the kids 100m race.
- Prizes will be awarded for both the 5km and 100m races after the kids 100m race is finished.
- The toilets should be open and are located at the side (ladies) and back (gents / accessible toilet) of the pavillion.
- Results will be uploaded to the event website by 2pm on Saturday.
- Photographs will be uploaded to my instagram account @strongbodycoach over the course of the weekend, as and when I receive them. If you do not want your's or yours or your child's photographs to be shared on social media, then please let me know your/their runner number on the day and we will make a note to not publish photos with your's or your childs face on them.
Health and Safety - The important bit........
1. If you feel unwell on the day, then please do not run
2. If you feel unwell during the run, then please stop running and return to the start line and alert the fun run organisers.
3. All children under the age of 10 who are running the 5km distance must be accompanied at all times by an adult.
4. I am a qualified First Aider, so if you need medical assistance, then come and speak to me, as I will have a first aid kit. There is a defibrillator on the wall of the pavillion should one be needed.
5. Please bring water with you on the day.

7. Please take your litter home or put it in the bins provided
8. If you would like to volunteer to help hand out numbers before the start (you can still run) or help with time keeping if you are not running, then let me know as you assistance will be most welcome.
