The New Malden Easter Fun Run 2014
In Summer 2013, as part of Malden Fortnight, we oraqnised our first New Malden Fun Run - entitled 'THE MALDEN MILE'. Over 80 runners took part and we also enjoyed glorious weather!
Our next 5km fun run takes place on 29th March 2014 at 9am in Beverley Park New Malden.

How to Register
You can register for this FREE TO ENTER event on this website for either:

1. The 5km fun run - with optional fancy dress based on an Easter theme
   
2. The Children's 100m 'Easter Egg and Spoon Race' - fancy dress is also optional and eggs and spoons will be provided
   

Registration must be completed by 5pm THURSDAY 27th March 2014 and is completely FREE. Unfortunately there will be no registration on the day.

The event was full within two weeks of being advertised last year and will be limited to the first 150 runners who sign up on the website. To avoid disappointment, register here as soon as possible.

Event Prizes
Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:

• Best 5km runner fancy dress (1st, 2nd & 3rd positions)
• Best 100m Easter Egg and Spoon Race Fancy Dress (1st, 2nd & 3rd positions)
• 5km runner winner (male and female)
• 100m Easter Egg and Spoon Race (1st, 2nd & 3rd)

The event is a great opportunity for members of the local community to do something active together in the beautiful surroundings of Beverley Park.

Fundraising
Christ Church Primary School New Malden has set up a fundraising team called ‘A Better Build’ for the Junior School playground at the rebuilt school which is opening after Easter this year. The 5km fun run event is an opportunity to raise awareness of the new playground project, as well as hopefully raising £1,000 towards new play equipment.

Sponsorship
Waitrose sponsored the event last year and there are additional sponsorship opportunities for other local businesses or individuals who would like to get involved. Please contact us if you would like to sponsor this event.
